A shot refers to an amount of alcohol or mixed one drink from a shot glass. A shot glass can vary in size from 30 ml (1 oz) to 44 ml (1.5 oz). Bartenders often use the shot glasses as measurement cups when pouring cocktails. A shot of liquor is not the exact same as a “shooter” which refers to a mixed 30 ml (1 oz) drink taken in one sip. A shooter can be shaken, stirred, blended, layered or simply poured as it is. They can be very colorful and taste amzing. A little warning is at place: shots can make you drunk fast as they are often high in alcohol level – so be careful and enjoy!
